It’s not just about the looks…
People today are obsessed with physical attraction, and I’m no exception. Even if a girl I knew was the coolest girl I’ve ever met, if she was fat or had a moustache or anything like that, about as far as I’d go is a friendship. And although important as it is to be attracted to someone, the real attraction is what’s inside of them. If i were to date the most beautiful girl I had ever seen and found out that she was a horrible person, you could bet that she’d be getting uglier and uglier to me. On the other hand, if I were to be with a girl who was pretty cute, you know… not the best lookin either, but had an AMAZING personality I’d be a lot less reluctant to be with that girl for a long time.
It has been said that to actually fall in love with someone is to intimately appreciate their morals, standards, and ethics, and I couldn’t agree more. Sure, there are things that promote the initial attraction, like being hot, or having a nice ass, but what makes couples stay together for their entire lives is because who those people are on the inside. So after your butt gets wrinkly and saggy, or you get a hunchback, who you are on the inside is what keeps the love going.
I’ve only heard about it, never actually experienced it. It’s especially hard for me to find a girl that I’d like to be with for more than a few weeks, you could say I’m really picky, you could say I’m an asshole, you could say whatever you want but I’ve just never really met a girl who I could see myself being with for a long time, My longest relationship? 8 months, pretty good, but not great. second longest? 5 months, still not bad for me. Third longest? 3 weeks. Ya, i know.
I’m looking for someone who can challenge me, who I can talk to for hours and hours about nothing, or everything. Someone who becomes more perfect and amazing to me with every day we’re together. I’ve dated over 60 girls I’d say, and not one of them has lived up to what I’m looking for, some are too passive, some too aggressive, some are just downright bitches, some are too sexual (not like that’s a bad thing haha it’s just not all the relationship should be about.), some are too prude.
I’m not trying to make this sound like a newspaper ad for a single looking for someone, the moral of my story is that finding the person who can challenge you, who can talk to you for hours about nothing, or everything, who becomes more perfect and amazing to you with everyday you’re together is EXTREMELY hard to come by, so when you find that special someone, HANG ONTO THEM FOR GODSAKES!

Yes, It’s not just about the looks… BUT most men are attracted to women who are drop dead gorgeous with perfect skin, perfect hair, perfect ass, perfect boobies etc. And i know a very few men who will actually approach a not so cute or not so pretty women. In, fact i know NONE! NADA!
But everything you’ve said is quite true. I am very picky as well but my longest relationship is 7 years, 2nd is 3 years and no 3rd. They just turned out to be an ass wipes in the end.

Yep, every single time you post, I’m hooked more and more to reading it.
You’re 100% right with everything you said in this. I’ve dated my fair share of guys, there’s a lot, then I found one who really got me going. We were together for two years and just recently broke up. He has crooked teeth, and kinda big ears, and I’ve definitely met a hell of a lot better looking guys, but I stayed with him because our relationship was beyond looks. I seriously thought I was going to marry this guy, so did everyone else. Then, the other day, I realized the connection between us, couldn’t keep us going when only one of us was trying. Relationships end up becoming a lot more, beyond looks, and beyond the high school connection. Then there’s making a life, getting prepeared for the future you were setting yourself up for…lets just say, I’m going places…and he admitted he wasn’t and didn’t want to. I said goodbye right then and there.
Relationships come with a lot good times and a lot of bullshit. I’ve been through a lot of bullshit, but it just keeps me going. I’m not searching anymore, I’m waiting. I plan on living my life and letting whatever may come, come.
I have to say kari, ur probably one of the most awesome, down to earth ppl i’ve talked to. what u say makes total sense, ppl should have plans and actually want to go somewhere with their life, but everyone has their own definition of what that actually means. personally, i’d like to become a personal trainer. some ppl would consider that a shitty place to take your life but i don’t. the fact that i get to help ppl feel better is reward enough and i get to be in an atmosphere that i feel happy in. sure, i’d love to maybe open my own gym when i get older, or maybe make videos like taebo or something haha (even tho i’m not good looking enough to be on tv haha but hey, richard simmonds was on tv and look at him! ) , but i think the fact that i have plans and goals in my life is what makes me driven to pursue life further, if you’re not going anywhere with your life, then where are you going? ya know? and judging by how cool and down to earth u are, you’ll find a bad ass guy soon enough
Haha, yeh I’ll admit that I’m a pretty chill girl with a lot of opinions. I mean, I’m not telling people they HAVE to go to a four year college, or something, but I mean seriously, do you want to spend the rest of your life on the couch, working at some fast food place, getting fat, then complaing, but never doing anything about it? Fun…haha. The lifestyle I’m choosing, hair. Its my only passion. I won’t make a whole lot of money off of it, but I’m not one to need a whole lot of money. If I love what I do and can get by without struggling, I’m perfectly fine with that. As long as I’m doing SOMETHING.

lol ya I know what you’re saying and I totally agree, people wonder why they have such shitty lives and it’s because they’re lazy, not because God hates them or because they’re unlucky. And hair isn’t bad at all, I know alot of girls going into that trade, and it’s hard as shit! I tried to cut my hair once when I was younger and butchered myself haha
Haha, how old were you when this happened? I do my own hair, its ridiculous sometimes. This past weekend, I spent three days and six hours bleaching my hair, and its still not done. If you haven’t noticed, my ends are still yellow. Ugh.
